More on Family Philanthropy

I loved Venu’s post yesterday about talking to your family about philanthropy.  Here is a cute little article from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution about the incredible transfer of wealth that we’ve all been hearing a lot about, and its effects on giving.

I was glad to see parents being so open with their children about charitable giving, and to see children being given control in philanthropic decision-making.  It is interesting that these young donors are drawn to international causes; I wonder if this is another effect of living in an increasingly globalized world.  And on the South Asian tip, nice to see the article feature Swetha Krishnakumar and her family in Atlanta!
