Haiti earthquake relief – the power of giving

As you all know, Haiti has been struck by a massive earthquake, causing great damage and possibly thousands of deaths. Here is a quick list of some places to make a donation for disaster relief efforts:
Situations like these remind us of how precarious life really is, particularly in parts of the world already suffering from political and economic instability, poverty, and public health crises.
The Gujarat earthquake and Asian tsunami resulted in a tremendous outpouring of philanthropy from the South Asian community, setting in motion giving initiatives that continue to this day. Let us remember that power of giving right now and offer our help – along with our thoughts and prayers – to those in need in Haiti.
