South Asian Giving Circle: Launch Event

February 26, 2010

Here’s a PSA from our friends at the new South Asian Giving Circle!:

Interested in making a social impact in the local South Asian community?

Want to get more involved in South Asian causes in the Bay Area?
Love attending cool South Asian cultural events or volunteering with great service organizations?
Like meeting other, like-minded, South Asian young professionals?

Then join us this Wednesday (3/3) 7 pm at Bollyhood Cafe for the launch of

South Asian Giving Circle, a charity that promotes philanthropy within the Bay Area’s South Asian community.

We are a new non-profit that aims to give more to local organizations working on social and cultural issues relevant to our South Asian community.  We operate as a giving circle, which means that we encourage anyone interested to make a donation, learn about organizations we may support, vote and help decide how to allocate our funds as grants to the selected organizations. You can learn more about how we work here: www.southasiangivingcircle.org and view more details on our event here: SAGC Launch Event Facebook Invite.

Come join us for an introduction, good company, and happy hour at Bollyhood Cafe — drink specials for the night!  It’s a great chance to learn about a new non-profit and get involved with cool opportunities, while meeting some new folks!  Bring friends!
