Congratulations, K. Sujata!
SAPP friend K. Sujata was just named the new President of the Chicago Foundation for Women. Here’s an excerpt from the press release:
“Sujata’s experience as a grantmaker, advocate and strategic leader in both the business and social sectors will be an incredible asset to our organization and couldn’t come at a better time as we celebrate 25 years of connecting need, money and solutions for women and girls,” said [CFW Board Chair Gail] Ludewig…
Currently director of programs for the Eleanor Foundation, Sujata has also served as executive director of Apna Ghar, a domestic violence agency supporting Chicago’s South Asian and other immigrant communities. At Apna Ghar she doubled the budget and strengthened and expanded programs while raising the organization’s profile and increasing awareness of domestic violence in the Asian community.
Congratulations, Sujata! What a great role model for our community!

I am thrilled that the Chicago Foundation for Women has chosen Sujata to the next President. Her combination of experience, character, and passion is going to take CFW in exciting new directions. Looking forward t0 her tenure!
