Apply for this!: Indicorps Diaspora Fellowship

February 26, 2009

Lots to apply for these days, folks!

Check out these diaspora fellowships from Indicorps for young Indian-Americans to work on community-based, sustainable development projects across India for at least one year.  The projects are amazing – everything from working with young migrant laborers to teach basic professional skills, to working with women’s self-help groups on preventive health care.  And, as many of you may know, Indicorps is the brain child of Google.org’s Sonal Shah (also Obama transition team member).

Deadline is March 15th and application materials are here.

Indicorps’ philosophy of change is quite inspiring:

By engaging talented young Indians from around the world to tackle India’s most pressing challenges, we can nurture a new brand of socially conscious leaders with the character, knowledge, commitment, and vision to transform India and the world.
