Apply for these!: DiverseCity and Race/Ethnicity call for papers

August 26, 2010

For those of you in Toronto, the Maytree Foundation’s DiverseCity Fellows program is now accepting applications for 2011:

DiverseCity Fellows is a one-year action-oriented leadership development program for rising city-builders*. The program is designed to support city-builders who are deeply committed to enhancing their leadership abilities and practicing collective leadership to address issues that are critical to the future health and wealth of the Toronto region.

SAALT and the journal Race/Ethnicity: Multidisciplinary Global Contexts are now accepting submissions for a special edition on 9/11 and the South Asian community, entitled “Field Notes on the 9/11 Moment: Transformations in Community and Country”:

We especially welcome analysis, critiques, reflections, and documentation by activists, community-based organizations, and others who responded to the crisis that enveloped the South Asian, Muslim, Sikh, and Arab American communities in the wake of the terrorist attacks.
