The Great Philanthrocapitalistic Hope – Vinod Khosla
October 12, 2010
As many of may have already read, Vinod Khosla, founder of Sun Micorsystems, has recently received a lot of press for his successful investment in SKS Microfinance, a lender to poor women in India. Even more heartening than his own endeavor, is Mr. Khosla’s desire to encourage more (wealthy) Indians to become philanthropic. One can only hope that the cultural impact of Mr. Khosla’s gift is as great as the Gates/Buffett roadshow.
I would love to hear your reactions to the news and whether you think Mr. Khosla’s perspective will gain popularity among India’s wealthy.
