February 23, 2011
More dollars flowing to India and education …
Chicagoan Prabhakant Sinha, a co-founder of ZS Associates, a sales and marketing management consulting firm based in Illinois, has donated $2 million to his alma mater Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.  The dollars which were donated in phases are supporting biofuel education and research at IIT.
The P K Sinha Center for BioEenergy in the Department of Chemical Engineering at IIT Kharagpur was launched last year and Sinha continues to be a guiding force for the programs.
This gift follows other alumni donations to IIT in recent history – from former Citigroup senior vice-chairman Victor Menezes and fomer CEO of Infosys Nandan Nilekani.
