Toronto volunteers needed for Re-Drawing Resistance

Re-Drawing Resistance: South Asian Stories of Survival and Resistance is an international collection of artwork by South Asian women who have survived different forms of gender-based violence.   They are in need of 5 to 6 volunteers in the Greater Toronto Area to assist with this year’s exhibition.  This year, the organizers have collaborated with Thorncliffe Neighborhood Office to bring the exhibit to their community residents.

To be held at Thorncliffe Neighborhood Office, 1 Leaside (Employment Office), Toronto

Monday, July 11, 2011 – from noon to 4 pm

There will be a speaker on global violence, music and dance, in addition to the 2010-2011 Art Exhibit of Re-Drawing Resistance.
